I like meditation music, Tibetan bells, singing bowls, Native American flute music and jungle rhythms. One of my favorites is Sacred Spirit Drums by David and Steve Gordon. Also Seven Metals: Singing Bowls of Tibet by Benjamin Jobst. I often meditate to the Space Sounds CDs recorded by the NASA Voyager - very powerful.
Classic rock (60s and 70s), especially Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple, The Doors, Aerosmith (older), Alice Cooper, The Who, James Gang.
Other rock artists: Aerosmith (newer), Prince, Pearl Jam, Sheryl Crow, Shania Twain, Melissa Etheridge, Guns 'N Roses, Lenny Kravitz, Supertramp, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Marley, Collective Soul, Eagles, Don Henley.
My favorite classical song is Pachebel's Canon.

My own title, High Way From Hell: Using Emotion to Fan the Fire of Enlightenment, fulfills a life vision, is very personal and is closest to my heart. My favorite books by other authors include The Third Millenium by Ken Carey, the entire Clan of the Cave Bear series by Jean Auel, A New Earth, Stillness Speaks and Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling, the Conversations with God series by Neale Donald Walsch and The Third Jesus by Deepak Chopra.

Getting turned off is a turn-off, because it shuts you down to life. The world is a mirror, reflecting many lessons for us to integrate.

Two years ago I formed my own publishing company and this year I released my first book, High Way From Hell: Using Emotion to Fan the Fire of Enlightenment. It's based on my life experience but it is not really about me. It's about everyone who reads it, as it takes the reader on a journey within, to the deepest recesses of the heart. Reading it is a very experiential process that meets readers wherever they are and challenges them to discover the source of their own power.
You can preview the book for free by downloading an ebook version from my website, or order a signed copy of the actual book there. Just go to www.SpiritWindPublishing.com. It's also available at Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
In addition to being an author, I am also a speaker and hypnotherapist. Through many years of soul-searching and personal growth I've realized that the most important thing for us to do is to become honest with our feelings and learn to experience all of life from a neutral perspective. When we make judgments about our feelings, or about ourselves, our experiences or anyone in our life, we destroy the purity of the moment and limit our ability to learn whatever the experience can teach us. By becoming authentic without judgment, we can experience not only our vulnerability as humans (we all have it) but our magnificence as spiritual creators of our own destiny (we all have that too).
I've spent most of my adult life as an occupational nomad and spiritual maverick. For over 15 years I was a self-employed artist, and traveled around the Southwestern United States selling my artwork at art and craft festivals.
I've also been a certified massage therapist, specializing in deep tissue therapy, aromatherapy and energy work. I stopped doing that after having wrist problems in both hands but now, after 13 years of giving it a rest, I've decided to take it back up again part-time. I need one more class to get licensed in my current state of Florida. The thing I love about massage and bodywork in general is that, aside from how wonderful it feels, it approaches wellness from the approach of integrating body, mind, emotions and spirit.
