I was born in Belarus. My family came to US ten years ago as refugees with three bags of belongings. This is for six people.. hehe. Most of it was clothes. My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary last year. We have five beautiful (I need to say handsome) kids. Four boys and one girl between them. We have one boy who was born in US. I was on seventh month when I came here. You can only imagine how it was to grow up from ground zero in new culture, new language with newborn baby.
It was a tough time. Now I understand that it was a great time, because my family learned how to be thankful to God for a little that we had, and my kids know the value of what we have now. I was like a rock in the hands of the artist, who makes the beautiful statue. It hurt. It was painful. I was depressed, I did not trust people, I was scared of future. But now I enjoy my life. I see the beauty of God creation, I meet with new people every day, and most of them are open minded and ready to put their shoulder if I need it. I also see my future in helping people, who need my help...
