Beach, fitness, sports, fashion, cooking, theater, writing, film, tv, music, reading, blog, live events, entertaining, driving with the top down on PCH, Infotainment, product integration, content distribution, and Technology. Travel, live performance, and anything that occupies my mind.

Not sure why there is not a Television section so I am putting that info here too. Me thinks too many of you spend too much time on the Internet and not watching TV, shame, LOL ....

Most movies, scripted and unscripted reality Television. The Internet will be Network Televisions "greenhouse" or "incubator. American Idol is still the benchmark for reality shows ... but I watch about 10 hours of reality TV a week. Dont kill me, some of it is just my job (okay and addiction, lol). Thank god for the DVR. Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, E! News Daily, The Oscars, American Music Awards, TV Guide Channel, The Hills, Tudors, So You Think You Can Dance, Heroes House, 24, American Idol, Smallville, NBA, NFL, ESPN, Fox Sports, Womens Pro Beach Volleyball, and just about any sports, the Apprentice, LA Ink, Dirty, Sexy, Money, Greek, The Soup, The Daily 10, Green Channel, More movies than TV shows, Project Runway, Rockstar, The Hills, HGTV, SNL, TRL, Real World, Friends, 90210, Melrose Place, if it was Spelling, I was probably watching it.

As for film, still prefer to see it on the big screen .. Summer block busters, dark comedies, epics, thrillers, and action are my choices. Romantic comedies are formula and a breeze to write. Raiders of the Lost Arc, Dazed and Confused, The Player, Godfather, Matrix, Titanic, Last Samurai, Almost Famous, Lawrence of Arabia, Terminator, American Pie, Transformers, Iron Man,The Sure Thing, Cruel Intentions, Passion of the Christ, Mission Impossible, Minority Report, Pulp Fiction, Pretty in Pink, Risky Business, A Knights Tale, Notebook, Matrix, Frequency, Dracula, How to loose a guy 10 days, Crash, Dark Angel, James Bond, Bourne Identity, Catch me if you can, Fast and the Furious, Back to the future, 8 Mile, Grease, MI3, Braveheart, Star Wars, American President, Rocky.

CHICKS THAT ROCK!!! Just about every genre and format. It all started for me in radio at 15. I ran a record pool and was a club jock, I Also managed two indie bands and quarterbacked platinum-selling artists. Kayne West, Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood, Sarah Beckman, Gerina DiMarco, Katharine McPhee, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Crystal Method, Kimberly Caldwell, Leona Lewis, Julianne Hough, Fabrice, Jamie ONeal, Kandice, Janes Addiction, Rascal Flats, Disturbed, Hilary Duff, 2pac, 50 cent, 311, AFI, Beatles, Beyonce, 3 Doors Down, Paramore, Blackeyed Peas, Blink 182, Bush, Carrie Underwood, Chemical Brothers, Chris Daughtry, Maroon 5, Christina Aguilera, T-Pain, OneRepublic, Taylor Swift, Nas, Collective Soul, Diddy, Duran Duran, Eminem, Evanescence, Fall Out Boy, Fergie, Foo Fighters, Frank Sinatra, Garbage, George Michael, Good Charlotte, No Doubt, Hole, Ice Cube, Jay-Z, JoJo, Josh Stone, Justin Timberlake, Kelly Clarkson, Linkin Park, Mos Def, NERD, Nickleback, Nirvana, Paul Oakenfold, Offspring, Pappa Roach, POD, Prince, Smashing Punkins, Staind, Stone Temple Pilots, Timbaland, U2, Van Halen, Vivaldi and too many more to name. I am known mostly for breaking mass appeal and pop acts. If its on TRL, I it would probably be in my MP3 player.

The meditations of Marcus Aurellius, anything quick read, zine, blogs, and tons of non-fiction. I probably read more scripts than anything. I love Magazines and blogs. Anything and everything I can get my hands/eyes on. There's not much I miss in the Pop culture world. Give me a great script, a latte, and a good chair and I am all set. Magazines, Scripts, Non-Fiction, Blogs.

People that are going places. Those that can carry their own weight and then some. Those that never left the kid out of Entertainment and understand that the term show business is just that, a business first, then a show. Those that understand that making something happen is nothing more than an idea that is worked out with action behind it. I love development so the creator/writer is King. If You got a dream, You have to protect it. If you want something, go get it, period!

Network marketing, Home-based businesses, solicitors, and Internet pyramid schemes.

I do what I love and love what I do!

My name is Frank Miniaci and I am a Native Los Angelino and a Naturalized Texun (what my Texas buds call me. Most called me Hollywood when I lived there, hah). Lived almost half my life in Dallas. Malibu is home. So is Pasadena. Santa Monica is where I live ... Imagination to me is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions ...
I get asked the question a lot so here it goes ... I own a Film, Television, and multi-media production company and I am a Producer (professional babysitter is more like it, hah)
. I do write entertainment blogs strictly for fun and my background includes everything from radio (where I started this crazy career at 15) to the music industry to editorial/print, new media, film, and television. I've worked for the biggies, now it's time to build my own ...
There are currently over a dozen projects in development for Fastlane Entertainment which include Television, Film, Music, Stage, syndication, and an Awards show. There really is no entertainment medium you won't find my hands in or on. I grew up in front of the camera, on mic, and on the set not to mention in front of a mixing board in a production studio. I am not easily impressed. It seems that almost everyone in LA is not from here so there are a lot of talkers. I think I have heard just about everything ... but always open to being entertained, haha. Actually no idea is crazy so I am open. If you have a statue or two, congrats. But as you know it's not what you've done yesterday, it's what are you doing now? ... For me it's about a team (extended family) and sharing a common vision with no compromise on total mass appeal (end result and success) no matter what the genre, format, or style. If I wanted a job, I would work for a Network, Studio, or Label so no drama. Save that for the stage...
You can click on the Fastlane logo for updates (as soon as I get around to having it finished, haha ... peace, Frank (aka Malibudude)

Hi Frank,  My pleasure... you have a great profile and I love your take on 2012.  We've already shifted, we just haven't reached critical mass yet.

More on my nephew, Austin Anderson...  He's shot 9 features, 7 short films, done music videos, commercials, reality TV
pilots, promo's and etc...   He also is a very creative writer.

Blessings to you Frank.

Barbara
