I was born and raised in West Texas. After leaving home, I tried college too soon I think and ended up working full time instead. I had my one and only child, Skylar in 1999 which shifted my focus to figuring out just how this "mom" thing worked. In 2003, my life finally hit rock bottom changing me forever. I finally ended up with Skylar by myself (even though I pretty much was anyway) The love of (what I thought) my life left for the army after 9/11 and married while he was away. It was time to move and change everything that I had ever known. I got in my car and drove to Denver. My mom and sister introduced me to a church in Lakewood called Mile High Church. At first, I was hesitant having grown up in the Baptist Bible belt. I gradually and slowly started to like being able to be free to think and believe how I wanted to. My mom enrolled me in an Inner Child workshop at the church which was probably the best thing I could have done at the time. I still spent my time in my thoughts in fear of what might happen if I changed my way of thinking from everything I had learned as a child. I did start to take a few classes in business whenever I could find the time. After 4 years in Denver, I finally decided to move to Telluride for my career and for my daughter's education. I finalized a certificate through Arapahoe Community College in Broadband Business Management, the first step in finishing college. I spent my first summer here completely alone without Sky. At first I didn't know what to do with myself but mom sent me spiritually based books. I watched the Secret. I made a vision board. So many things have happened for me now in my ways of thinking, letting go of fear, being myself, trusting myself, openly loving, accepting, being...So now I'm on a different path and journey with a completely new mindset.
Hi Amber! So glad we can connect on the movie thing. I just love all of their quirkiness and personalities, whether they do comedy or drama but the romantic comedies are the best. I guess I'm a romantic at heart. I like it when two people find each other.
I did my profile in a hurry but I have lots of history. I was a single parent of two for a while and found the Lord during that tough time.
It is truly my honor to be your friend and I look forward to visiting your site for inspiration. Thank you for the request to be a friend and remember if you don't learn something new each day that day is wasted. But I can see you won't have any wasted. So stay true to your journey and you'll find what you're looking for and much more.
Thank you for requesting me as a friend. I love the artwork on your site - its beautiful and inspiring and I'm glad to meet someone with your positive mindset.
Its easy to see that you are a deeply feeling soul.
I am celebrating the things you are celebrating on your space here. Its aaprofound time we live in at the moment and today I heard this really lovely thought: "That God needs our Help!"
If we could just be who we really are... it would help God a lot. He wouldnt have to keep traying to gather us like marbles... Its a great thought!
Nice to have you as a friend, come back and look around at some of my other sites. Jason so nicely put them on our pages for us. You say you like learning more about spirituality and world religions. Try the
http://thetruthinchrist.blogspot.com/ I also have links to other good stuff on there too. I need to add a few more, I found but I haven't had the time to do so.
Just wanted to acknowledge your name...LOL. You have been blessed with beautiful lips but it should be Miss Amber aka lips..ha ha ha! Respect! Love busting his chops....just too easy! Have a blessed day!

You have some wonderful pictures here! You've travelled quite a journey; one that I hope has become more joyful and fulfilling. It's a pleasure to add you to my friends network. I look forward to getting to know you.
Thnk you for the add as a friend. I found your story touching and I wanted to wish you and Skylar the very best for the future! So much to yet explore for each of you and I also hope you find the best in everyone who crosses your path. Rose
It's wonderful to meet you and to read about your fascinating life journey. The trials of life are many, yet they breed such beauty, growth and love IF we channel those experiences. It's obvious that you have.
I'm thrilled to connect with you. Thanks for the invite to join your circle of friends here on JN.
Sincerely,
Jill
PS I love your profile and am intrigued by the french horns.
It is pretty special. Ah well now if you want to travel then start manifesting the journey and the destination for yourself, I wouldn't recommend here until the winter leaves mind you LOL.
I get itchy feet at times and there are so many places that I feel a strong resonance with and I have been to some really special places when finances would allow but it's nice to find somewhere that is largely unspoiled by tourism and commercialism, rare these days unfortunately, but they are still around if you want them.
Oh where you live sounds interesting, there will be some interesting history there no doubt if you find the right person to ask. Unfortunately to some extent when an area becomes a popular resort, particularly for skiers you do tend to get that whole different energy around it and yes stoned people sleeping in doorways is not isolated to where you are, you can find them almost anywhere in the world, not this village mind you but we don't even have shops, just a pub LOL!
Thank you that's very kind of you. Actually it's about 45 minutes from where I live the view is the Somerset Levels taken from the top of Glastonbury Tor. If you know anything about Arthurian Legend (King Arthur, Knights of the Round Table etc) it is supposed to be The Seat of King Arthurs Court, the Isle of Avalon. So was once a very spiritual place, it still has the energy if you move away from the village itself.
That has unfortunately become filled with shops which trade on the idea of being spiritual rather than actually having any good metaphysical energy, lots of grubby weed smoking people who have lost contact with what spirituality actually means and replaced it with the image of the trendy hippy, which is a shame. As I said though away from that part there is a tremendous Celtic energy which you can feel coming from the land itself. My English Grandmother came from that area and my Irish roots are in Ulster where I shall be teaching Theta in just over a week. I'm a true Celt right down to my red hair. Oops now you've got me started LOL

Hey Bernie!
Thanks for the comment and for becoming one of my friends. I love your profile background. Very beautiful! Is this where you live?
Thanks for voting in my poll. Your profile is enough, especially on a great networking site like this one. Only if you have your own business or want to
