My yard no longer looks dead and I have already been blessed with my first homegrown carrots from my garden and golf ball sized onions. I am so thankful for the rain. I am looking forward to planting more. As I grew up in Houston; this is my first real "farmer brown" experience. I'm learning so much every day.
For the past six weeks we have been surrogate parents for an opossum. It now weighs three pounds and Wednesday is release day. My husband had never raised an opossum to free it; so we did. This will be the biggest one I've had the honor to release.

Thanks for the invite. I am pleased to meet you (virtually of course) and maybe in real if I ever go back to Florida... I was there for 4 weeks back in 1998, in Fortlauderdale, to work as a French localisator. I enjoyed every minute of it!
