I find the problem with some young women is that they lack their own independence, therfore, they struggle to be themselves. It's like being a hostage to someone else's dreams and control. Sometimes it's a sad situation, but one has to make up their own mind to step out of the box and continue to step forward. You can only help a person but so much, then they have to help themself.
