I don't know what the other posters on this thread said (since the forum seems to be broken somehow since the upgrade) but this is surely a fascinating subject.
The bond of angle of 104.5 degrees is very particular. The dipole in water is key to the evolution of life on Earth (if you believe in such things). Water is the most abundant fluid on the Earth's crust, yet the least understood. It is the medium in which life arose and continues to live.
I'm not sure about "mystical properties". Can you explain more?
