What are some good foods to protect you against the Flu? Eat lots of brightly coloured fruits and vegetables they contain Phytonutrients, Vitamin C, Bioflavonoids, Beta Carotene, Zinc and many other nutrients needed for a strong, healthy immune system. Coloured peppers, leafy greens, red onion, cabbage, kiwis, mangos, squash, apples, berries and citrus fruits are some great choices. Make sure to use spices like: garlic, parsley, oregano, basil, Tumeric, cinnamon and use organic sea salts (Celtic or Himalayan), as they contain trace minerals that are desperately needed in our bodies. Never forget to get enough good quality protein, as proteins are the building blocks to your immune system. Good sources are: nuts and seeds, eggs, seafood (for the Zinc content also), lean poultry, tofu, yogurt (plain and natural, add some fruit), beans and legumes.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Thanks Sandye.........its nice to know that what I am doing is making a difference. Also taking Homeopathic remedies is great when you get the Flu and taking Pro-biotics to boost your immune system is good.
