I was a little rushed in my last comment, I have been so busy lately, but I wanted to get back to you about the technique I use for my work. :)
It's chalk pastel on canvas. I apply it in a system of transparent layers. Which enable the true spirt of the pigment to come alive. It absorbs light rather than reflects it. That way the works pick up the colors around it. They change from morning to night depending on the light that is hitting the canvas.
In other words the paintings changes dramatically depending on your mood and the lighting around them. It becomes alive, so to speak.
