WHO KNOWS Y O U?
It is not WHO you Know It is WHO KNOWS Y O U. (shortened for purpose)
I love Black Business Space creator Lee Green’s concept of WHO KNOWS Y O U. I love it because I comprehend its meaning in a few different ways. I see this little reminder on every page when I send out an email, visit with my friends, or invite friends and colleagues to join my forums. Yep, posted on every page right in the upper left hand corner is the BBS slogan… It is not WHO you Know It is WHO KNOWS Y O U.
On Saturday (11/8/08), I was listening to my professor discuss the relationship between reaching our goals, self-talk, and self-care. You may be wondering what this has to do with BBB‘s caption. Let us journey.
WHO KNOWS Y O U? If I understand this concept correctly, it is about other people Who Know (of) Y O U? I see it differently. WHO Knows You can also be internal. Who Really Knows Y O U? Not your birth name or the product you are selling attached to your business model. Yet who has taken the time and effort required to get to know the essence of Y O U.
WHO KNOWS Y O U? Your character--the light and the darkness. You know the way you relate to people. Your motives? Who Knows that? WHO KNOWS Y O U? Who Knows your standards and your boundaries? Who Knows what you stand for morally and ethically? Who Knows whether you are an avaricious person or if you are a giving person. WHO KNOWS Y O U?
Who Knows when you hurt? Who Knows when you need assistance? Who inquires? Who Knows when you need a friend? Who Knows the love that you need? Who (wants to) Know Y O U when you are up at night wondering where the next meal is coming from, how you are going to pay your mortgage this month, or if you have enough money to make it through the day? Who Knows your fight? Your strength? Your hopes? Your dreams?
When asked the question WHO KNOWS Y O U? Who Knows Your Heart? The essence of Y O U?
While WHO Knows (of) Y O U may be an asset in the business world where all that really matters--in some cases--is the exchange of the (valueless) dollar. In the end the question remains, WHO KNOWS Y O U? If you care anything about yourself, you just might want to know, WHO KNOWS YOU.
