Who should be our next president?
Posted On 10/18/2008 22:19:34 by davepyke

“How did we get into this political firestorm and more importantly, which side offers the best solution for positive change?”

We got into this political firestorm primarily because of how the Media has portrayed each of the candidates. Obama is portrayed as a savior of the people and McCain is an extention of the Bush Administration. The media and the Obama campaign have brought up the issue of Race. This is NOT about race.

Nothing could be further from the truth. It’s about experience.

In reality, Barrack Obama is a Harvard Law Graduate, has written 2 books on his personal life, was a community organizer in Chicago helping the disadvantaged people. Was a state legislator for 7 years, and a member of the US Senate for 4 years. Senator Obama has not put forth any legislation. Obama has no executive or business experience.

Obama is a left-leaning socialist. He is for Government Health Care, Tax higher income earners and business, increase spending on social programs. Obama supports wind, solar, bio diesel technology. Does not support the US presence in Iraq.

John McCain is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis. He was a Navy Pilot. He was held prisoner for 5 years in Hanoi during the Viet Nam War where he was tortured.  He has been a U.S. Congressman and U.S. Senator from 1982-2008 where he was chairman of several committees including the Senate Foreign Relation Committee. He has been a staunch advocate for issues dealing with campaign finance reform, alternative energy, Indian affairs, military policy, pork barrel spending, the tobacco industry, and the health of the economy.

Senator McCain  is a capitalist conservative, supporting small business and entreprenurialship. He supports low taxes, less government interference on the daily lives of Americans, privatization of Health Care and all forms of alternative energy including Nuclear, Clean Coal, and offshore drilling. He is for a strong military and supports our allies around the globe.

The bottom line

Senator Obama is an eloquent speaker but does not have any real world experience. He has not produced any legislation and supports a tax and spend socialist government policy

Senator McCain has a wealth of experience, a proven track record of working with both political parties, and would put the country on the path back to economic solvency. His military background gives him great experience when it comes to foreign policy. McCain is a pro growth, low tax capitalist.

As Obama’s VP choice Senator Biden said about Barrack Obama:

“This is not a time for on the job training”

I'm voting for Senator John McCain.
