I have been working with groups and individuals for over twenty years using creative and action based techniques. Whilst I was living in the UK it was easy to be available and find other sto work with, to develop projects and respond to requests. Now I live in this small village in southern Spain and unless people come to me I find very few opportunities to share my skills. This situation has led me to develop a distance learning programme where I intend to share my ideas and experiences for the benefit of others. I have just begun to write a series of self discovery guides based on my past work and I am finding it very exciting. For many years I worked as a teacher of circus skills, in schools community centres and with corporate groups. During this time I realised that there was much more going on for the participants than merely learning to juggle or passing clubs. Now as a qualified therapist I have returned to some of these skills with a new appreciation of the hidden benefits. I am currently writing up a guide to juggling and ball games with an understanding of how and why these impact on physical and emotional health. If anyone is interested in testing this out and commenting I would be delighted. It is fun and beneficial at the same time with solo group and family exercises. Watch this space.
