American Women Should Not Let Petty Issues, Divert You From What Is At Stake Here, Which Is The Future Of Our Children!
Posted On 09/05/2008 23:02:28 by sharonk

For the last week, while browsing the Internet and reading many ladies comments, I was astonished by reasons given, and what was some women’s deciding factor on what candidate they would cast their votes for. Even though the findings were a little unsettling, I still believe that the majority of the "Women in America’ are not easily swayed or so superficial to cast their votes because of the petty things we are fed by the media or the futile tricks of a politician. For today we are abreast on the political issues, well educated, and able to make informed and sound decisions based on the vital issues and problems facing this country. The politicians who ever they may be, let them not underestimate the American women or think they could win our vote by simply picking a woman or believing they could divert our attention from the major issues by trying to lead us into trivial bull.... Like sexism, hockey mom stereotyping or playing on small town dribble to divide us, for ladies this may be the most crucial vote in our lifetime.

We the women of America must open our eyes and look at the broader picture, and what it will mean, to elect these officials, not for only us, but for our children and their children down the road. Let us think wisely and not allow ourselves to be caught up in such trivial matters, that has been surfacing of late. For this tabloid, sexism garbage is only being pushed by the McCain camp to take your eye off the ball and off the real things that are vital and that truly matter. Because if you really stop to think, in the aftermath of the election, all of this trivial crap want mean anything, but what it is garbage.

The big issue here is not poor little Mrs. Palin, and for all women to step up to defend her because everybody is picking on her! Whatever kind of mother or however she chooses to raise her children is a private matter, yet knowing about the handling of her private affairs will help a lot in determining her character, but for now should not be the main focus of our attention. The major concern is about what is failing about this candidate. This woman has no outstanding accomplishments or credentials, no experience in foreign policy or the economy, which would define her as a formable candidate for the second highest office in the United States. She is in no way to compare with the Hillary Clinton or Margaret Thatchers of this world. What has she done, except she saved a museum or stood up to her own party? No I am not saying experience alone counts for everything, when dealing with the problems this country is facing. For if that were the case it would point back to Mr. Bush, and Senator McCain and their proven failing policies. For Senator McCain is diligently promoting the same Bush policies that have failed this country miserably! We, 'Women of America' need to move back from the puff and smoke that has been effectively put in to place to blind us from the real issues. By doing this, enabling us to intelligently focus on which candidate has the more plausible ideas about how to deal with our economic and foreign issues? Both presidential candidates must inform us of what their goals are, then supply us with realistic ideals, that they will implement to achieve them.

I was shocked when Senator McCain pulled out of his bag of tricks, and unknown, Ms. Palin with her bull dog tactics, telling half-truths and embellishing her accomplishments to the American public. McCain hoping this would be enough to sabotage your vote. It has been greatly publicized and stated by some of Mrs. Palin’s closest constituents, who have dealt with her in the state of Alaska, the state she governs, that she flip-flops on issues of vital importance. Is this the candidate that we, the ‘American Women’ should place the fate of our children’s future in or the one that we honestly believe could help lead the American people back to a prosperous future? She is only an additive, and another disturbing piece of the puzzle of these Republicans leaders trickery to again try and deceive us, as they have done for the last eight years. Open your eyes, for our so-called leaders of today, have sold us out for greed and power. They have literally brought devastation to our economy! They continue to look us dead in the eye and smile, while lying and never once to give us a straight answer about, why oil prices are skyrocketing and our economy is failing. The worse part is that they continue to do nothing about it! Why? Because the most powerful are oil men, they need the money to keep their lavish parties, the money to hold onto their ten mansions, the money to continue sending their children to the best schools, the money to continue to jet-set around the world and to continue their lavish life styles, that is why! While the common people, like you and I, are barely able to hold our head above water or pay our mortgages. What about the less fortunate, that have lost their homes or the others, that are losing their homes to foreclosure? The gas prices are outrageous, soon most working people will not be able to afford to go to their jobs. Moreover, take a look at the grocery prices, which are ridiculously high, which is invariably making it difficult to feed our children properly.

I must ask ladies is Mrs. Palin's reputation more important, then what we should be focused on, like the bigger issues we are facing, the things that will effect our children, our lives and futures in years to come. For when Mrs. Palin's sexist bull crap has played out and is forgotten, not anything will have changed.

What about the real turbulence our families and we are facing, which are vital to our existence, should we not focus on these matters first? The important things like rebuilding our poor credibility around the world, because of the warmongers and bully-strong arm tactics being used around the world by our so-called leaders in the name of democracy. Your sons and daughters sent to fruitless wars, and being killed on a daily basis, and being placed into wars under false pretenses and lies. Besides all the other things I've mentioned! If these things are not dealt with soon, these things will continue, sending our country in a greater downward spiral, which these paid-pundits have placed upon us. Is this not where we should focus our energy as women and mothers, not on Mrs. Palin. We must not allow these money grubbing politicians to divide us. For the small town people and the people in the large cities must pull together, in order to stop this corruption that we through the last eight years of complacency have allowed. The paid-pundit puppets we trusted, care nothing about your families, the middle class or poor, only what they can do for themselves. Take for instance tax breaks for the rich, destroying the environment for more oil and because of greed, instead of working on other viable alternatives, which would help solve this problem, that would help give us some so needed relief, they choose not to go this route. I assure you alternatives are out there, but the rich will not allow them to come into play, for if so, the rich oil men will not be able to continue to suck this country dry and control us as they have done in the last eight years.

Ladies, show we are women of substance and have true powerful voices in this nation! Not women that consume their every waking hour with gossip, only caring who said this about whom. For these political power giants hopes to detour you from the real important things that matter. Take your heart out of the equation, put your brain into play and focus on what really counts. Our children's future depends on all of us. Wake up and make your vote count, vote for change. Focus now on the major issues, not these petty things which down the road will continue, but can be dealt with in due time. Forget Palin for a moment, look at what McCain is offering the same old failed Bush policies, which has put this country in the dire straight, that we find ourselves in today.

I know you must be feeling the blow of the in-coming recession the same as the rest of us and things will never change, unless we choose to change it. Do not allow yourself to get caught up in these petty acts, made to divert your attention from the real issues. For if we do not take this election seriously and make educated informative choices on the facts, taking in the consideration of the poor state our country, and toss out the greedy grubbing politicians that put us here. If not and you decide to choose the same old policies and a candidate offering much of the same, not anything will change and it will only grow worse.

Yes, it is your right to vote as you please. Yet the seriousness and the responsibility when choosing a viable candidate is yours. If one chooses the same failing policies, then you as they will have to take the responsibility of the coming demise of our great country and the damaging factors that is sure to come to pass for our children and their children’s futures. For this is not simply about just Mrs. Palin, you or I. Our vote is a responsibility we must take seriously and remember what is at stake. For we are the women and mother's of America and with our vote will be helping to build and set the stage for our children's future. Is this not one of the most crucial factors to take in consideration! So, make your vote count, let us unite and take this country back!
