It always is a blessing when I notice the joy in the Balinese people. Do you know why? It's because I notice how 'not joyful' I am!
They are naturally joyful!
We westerners have to work at it... I mean normally. Compared to the deep relaxed vibe of the Balinese we look quite cranky!
It's bizarre. How come they are always smiling? I live in one of the oldest villages in Bali. 5 min drive down the road is a tourist zone, with shops, and all nationalities wandering the streets.
Here in the village, I step out of my front gate and get shocked to my core. For no reason other than I immediately notice I'm not in my heart!
The heart energy is so prevalent among these simple people. Actually it is their simplicity that could be the clue. We have such complex lives, electronica etc. Maybe it is just distracting from what we deeply crave - love.
That's something to think about. Hmmmmm
