Ok, by now some of you have heard the new buzz word Staycation. With gas prices out of control and economy declining, many families have decided to stay home for summer vacation time rather than travel...... A "Staycation" instead of vacation. Shorter day trips, to the zoo or local attraction can be a money saver in these unpredictable times. In many areas, along with gas prices rising, house values are dropping which is forcing so many to stay in their homes rather than lose money sellng. Now combine all of this with the fear of terrorism on one hand and on the other folks that are awakening spiritually no longer find joy in hanging out at the night clubs and rubbing elbows with the superficial crowd. So now we have another buzz word. "cocooning" Families spending more time at home...enjoying one another on a deeper level, getting back to core values.
So you can't go on vacation....you opt for a staycation. You can't sell your home right now.....so what are you going to do?
Here are some trends in home improvement for those who enjoy staying at home.
Create a great outdoor living space! There are so many options for outdoor kitchens and built in bbq's. Put in a pool or a hot tub and create your own spa experience. A vacation in your own yard. Put in a new deck, fire pit or screened in sun poarch.
Create a meditaion room in your home or meditation area in an outdoor area of your home. A great place to relax and unwind and allow you to connect deeply with your inner source.
Theater Rooms. An enourmous television to ejoy movies with the family or sporting events, complete with surround sound and comfortable seating.
Home Organization is huge right now. Get rid of the clutter and you will get rid of your stress.
Cool garages for the men who like to do projects. Great storage and decorating ideas for men. AKA mancaves lol
