"As most of you know I am not a President Bush fan, nor have I ever been, but this is not about Bush, it is about us, as Americans, and it seems to hit the mark.


'The other day I was reading Newsweek magazine and came across some Poll data I found rather hard to believe. It must be true given the source, right?

The Newsweek poll alleges that 67 percent of Americans are unhappy with the direction the country is headed and 69 percent of the country is unhappy with the performance of the President. In essence 2/3 of the citizenry just ain't happy and want a change. So being the knuckle dragger I am, I started thinking, 'What are we so unhappy about?''

A.. Is it that we have electricity and running water 24 hours a day, 7 Days a week?

B.. Is our unhappiness the result of having air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter?

C.. Could it be that 95.4 percent of these unhappy folks have a job?

D.. Maybe it is the ability to walk into a grocery store at any time and see more food in moments than Darfur has seen in the last year?

E.. Maybe it is the ability to drive our cars and trucks from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean without having to present identification papers as we move through each state?

F.. Or possibly the hundreds of clean and safe motels we would find along the way that can provide temporary shelter?

G.. I guess having thousands of restaurants with varying cuisine from around the world is just not good enough either.

H. Or could it be that when we wreck our car, emergency workers show up and provide services to help all and even send a helicopter to take you to the hospital.

I.. Perhaps you are one of the 70 percent of Americans who own a home.

J.. You may be upset with knowing that in the unfortunate case of a fire, a group of trained firefighters will appear in moments and use top notch equipment to extinguish the flames, thus saving you, your family, and your belongings.

K.. Or if, while at home watching one of your many flat screen TVs, a burglar or prowler intrudes, an officer equipped with a gun and a bullet-proof vest will come to defend you and your family against attack or loss..

L.. This all in the backdrop of a neighborhood free of bombs or militias raping and pillaging the residents. Neighborhoods where
90% of teenagers own cell phones and computers.

M.. How about the complete religious, social and political freedoms we enjoy that are the envy of everyone in the world?

Maybe that is what has 67% of you folks unhappy.

Fact is, we are the largest group of ungrateful, spoiled brats the world has ever seen. No wonder the world loves the U.S. , yet has a great disdain for its citizens. They see us for what we are. The most blessed people in the world who do nothing but complain about what we don't have, and what we hate about the country instead of thanking the good Lord we live here.

I know, I know. What about the president who took us into war and has no plan to get us out? The president who has a measly 31 percent approval rating? Is this the same president who guided the nation in the dark days after 9/11? The president that cut taxes to bring an economy out of recession? Could this be the same guy who has been called every name in the book for succeeding in keeping all the spoiled ungrateful brats safe from terrorists attacks? The commander in chief of an all-volunteer army that is out there defending you and me?

Did you hear how bad the President is on the news or talk show? Did this news affect you so much, make you so unhappy you couldn't take a look around for yourself and see all the good things and be glad? Think about it......are you upset at the President because he actually caused you personal pain OR is it because the 'Media' told you he was failing to kiss your sorry ungrateful behind every day. Make no mistake about it.

The troops in Iraq and Afghanistan have volunteered to serve, and in many cases may have died for your freedom. There is currently no draft in this country. They didn't have to go. They are able to refuse to go and end up with either a ''general'' discharge, an 'other than honorable'' discharge or, worst case scenario, a ''dishonorable' ' discharge after a few days in the brig.

So why then the flat-out discontentment in the minds of 69 percent of Americans?

Say what you want but I blame it on the media. If it bleeds it leads and they specialize in bad news. Everybody will watch a car crash with blood and guts How many will watch kids selling lemonade at the corner? The media knows this and media outlets are for-profit corporations. They offer what sells, and when criticized, try to defend their actions by 'justifying' them in one way or another Just ask why they tried to allow a murderer like O.J. Simpson to write a book about how he didn't kill his wife, but if he did he would have done it this way......Insane!

Turn off the TV, burn Newsweek, and use the New York Times for the bottom of your bird cage. Then start being grateful for all we have as country. There is exponentially more good than bad. We are among the most blessed people on Earth and should thank God several times a day, or at least be thankful and appreciative.' 'With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, 'Are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?'

I have read that this may or may not have come from Dave but who really cares,...it's worth the read anyway.

Please keep this in circulation. There are so many people who need to read this and grasp the truth of it all. “Everyone needs to just step back and take a good look around them!”

I saw some crap on tv yesterday . These people were on there telling me(with a straight face) that I would be healed right now  and everyone else would be also ,..."If I/they purchased their DVD right now." ....They continued to say that if you have a spinal injury, get up off the couch right now, you are healed, and so on......Man, that really gets under my skin, but what is worse is that people actually believe them....Why is this kind of crap allowed to be on the air praying on people that are in need. They themselves will surely go straight to hell, at least that is what I am hoping and I will pray for.

Brenda,  Thanx for the note. You are right about this place. A santuary is what it is because our ancestors left it that way. I can only hope that our future children will be able to enjoy this place and the many others that have not been disturbed by man. As we speak, my native friends in New Mexico are fighting for land that looks just like this.....They won their fight last winter but I'm sure it is not the end but the beginning of the end. Here is some of what our people are going through in other parts of our country as we sit here and watch our TV, yet we do not ever see this on the tube, why is that do you think :(.

Hi Joe.  I just had the priveledge of viewing your profile and reading the post by (Letterman).  All I can say is THANKYOU for sounding a voice and returning a confused generation back to the importance of recognizing it's blessings.  That, my friend is true positivity!


My favorite part of moving from California to Texas was the drive through Arizona...I felt at home there in the serenity of it's painted desert!  Blessings, my friend!

You are very correct about this place provoking the feeling of Freedom. It is one of many!


That is why people in power such as Roosevelt had places as such protected from mankind. I don't feel that there is any place on earth in which she "misses man." The white man only knows how to take and take from her, why would this thought ever arise! It does however make sense that a woman would ask this question, as she does not tend to think like a man and is a natural creator. This is a good thing and maybe one day we will go back to respecting the females voice, as they did in our Ancestors day, but until then man will always destroy everything it comes across, sooner or later! If you do not believe me...take a good look around you and see what is right in front of you, and look at old pictures of what was there before. This picture you see on my page looks like an awesome place, and is, but that is only because the white man has not found any use of it ,"Yet." As we speak, the lands of our ancestors are being destroyed by the coal companies, along with the air we breathe and these lands look just like this one....or did!  Check out the Navajo nations land and you will see just what people are ignoring, just to have electricity and AC. While the Native Americans suffer every day. I apologize if I offended anyone, but I am one to speak my mind and tell it like it is when provoked. That is how I differ from our government as I do not hide behind words. Thanx for listening.

A reminder,..I specialize in "Chronic Pain" so if you're one of those that are tired of the pain, treat yourself to EFT(emotional freedom technique) You will be pleasantly surprised, I promise you that! Just 2 days ago I had the privilege of working on an issue with a client that has Fybromyalia(so called) and has had pain every day for years. Lower back and leg pain,...after one session with me... all the pain was gone.






I called her today and she sounds so much happier and she is looking into EFT for her other issues...all I can say is it's Awesome, and is easy to learn....Get rid of some of those doctor bills and join the millions using EFT. All of us Earth people need to stay as close as possible with the year 2012 just around the corner. My Native brothers, (The Lakota) in South Dakota are getting prepared and I was told to do the same. So, I'm doing my part by showing people how to use EFT(emotional freedom techniques) to heal injuries, sickness and anything they want. No doctor, no pills, don't even need to believe in it, it will work anyway. I prove this on a daily basis with people that do not believe. We are all medicine men/women and healing is in our nature, so sooner or later people will start listening because I'm not going anywhere and I'm going to keep putting EFT in every ones face until we are all free of the governments control..... Be Free! This is what I live for and EFT is what I have to share, with the world.

Sorry Ron, I don't vote because there hasn't been someone worth voting for since Truman. So until we get someone with balls in there, I won't be voting. My Native American brothers have yet to be helped by any of these so called leaders. My people were real leaders for peace and freedom unlike the talk/smack we get today but that day will come again my brother! Thank you for the question!
