Oh yes, I write and LOVE poetry!

Eternity

At the moment of conception to breathing without care
Death's voice beckons to entangle our soul in his snare
He summons us in unyielding and ominous ways
Filling us with the menacing dread that our existence yet decays
Though we try to dismiss that dance that we'll have one day with death
Like a comedy of errors, or a tragedy in Macbeth
We've dismissed the essence of what life really means
Just hiding behind the immaterial to mask our terrified screams
Of our desperate fear and terror, the cry of our discontent
It's then we question right or wrong and our feelings of malcontent
How can one answer the mystery "How long their life will be?"
How do we NOT obsess about our future yet;
Answer the question "Where will we spend eternity?"

The name "thebrokenvessel" is a name that I use because God has called me to minister to people who have been broken through tragic experiences. It is also representative of my own tramatic childhood. Out of that God called me His "broken vessel" in that I am broken from anything that may hinder me in showing love and compassion to the hurting. Thanks for asking where the name came from, not many people are that curious to know.

You're welcome. I hope you have a great Sunday. I do believe in some cioncidences but sometimes it seems random. I wonder why people do the things they do when it causes others to feel pain. I wonder why seemingly cosmic forces continuosly try to make something happen that I believe (and everyone I know also believes) shouldn't happen. I am clear minded until that 1 person is near me and then everything becomes confused again. Not sure even why I shared all of this right now. That will be my Sunday pondering... Maria
