I love life and the outdoors. I find much of my spiritual rejuvenation in the outdoors. I love to ski, hike, camp, garden, sit by the creek and basically anything that has to do with the outdoors. I also enjoy reading, learning, laughing, teaching, traveling, cooking and spending times with friends and family. Conscious living of spiritual principles and loving myself more every day is also a joy of mine.
MOVIES
I like movies; however, my retention for movies is small. So, I know I have seen plenty of great movies, but the titles and details of a movie sometimes escape me until someone mentions the movie and then my memory is triggered. I do happen to like movies with a spiritual message and one that touches the heart.
MUSIC
I love music and have a wide variety of tastes from classical, classic rock, jazz, folk, bluegrass, spiritually-inspired music and everything in between.
BOOKS
Admittedly most of the books these days are spiritually-based school books as I am in my fourth year of ministerial school. I like to read the metaphysical genre and in addition to the inspiring school books I have read I enjoy Eckhart Tolle, Ask and It Is Given, The Power of Kindness, etc., etc.
Really not sure how to answer the question, as everything has a blessing with it. However, I do not like black licorice!
ABOUT ME
Where do I begin...I think these two quotes do a good job of touching the surface:
"Life will give you whatever experience is most helpful for the evolution of your consciousness." Eckhart Tolle
"When we honestly ask which persons in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving much advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a gentle and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not-knowing, not-curing, not-healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness...makes it clear that whatever happens in the external world, being presnt to each other is what really matters." Henri Nouwen
Professionally, I am a licensed spiritual counselor, a teacher of Science of Mind, facilitator, a trained ACPE chaplain and am in Holmes Institute for a MA in Consciousness Studies and to be a licensed minister with United Centers for Spiritual Living. (I graduate June 2009 YEAH!) My ministry is in the development process and it has been a delight watching it unfold.
Personally, I live where my passion lies...the mountains. I love where I live. My husband and I are in the process of renovating our home. It has been quite the project and we're loving every minute of it. I live at the base of a ski slope and can often be found skiing the powder with a big smile on my face.
Hello Nicole! Love your nickname...how appropriate for someone to be spiritually themselves! I saw you like movies with a spiritual theme and so was hoping that would include my spiritually based videos to be found on my site. I think they are cool...but will admit to being a bit biased! LOL! Also wanted to say I am proud of you going to school and working hard to get your degree. Way to go! Anyway,,,have asked to be your friend and I hope you accept my invite. Rose
