Thank you for helping me figure out these tone forks.  They are 440Hz, and I have tones: A Major + 54cent, Bflat - 74cent, C Major + 74cent(?), C# - 74 cent, Eflat =_+47cent, eflat +54cent, and F#major.  I assume the addition and subtraction are how far off of perfect pitch they are.

I am curious to know how I place them on the body.  I am assuming I make them vibrate, then place the end on the corresponding chakras?

Thank you very much for helping me put these instruments to use!

My Response !! ...

No touchey body with fork !!!

You want the body to resonate with the vibration of the fork ... as soon as the fork touches the body, the vibration ceases.

Your charge (or challenge, as the case at times may seem!!) is to "Ring the Fork" ... easiest way to do that??

Here, let us practice ... take the smallest fork, hold it backwards in your non-dominent hand (for most people it's the left hand) so the two prongs are grasped in your palm, the bottom prong flat rests on your index finger on the fleshy part between the fisrt and second joints (the bottom outside edge actually fits rather nicely into the crease of the second joint), your extended thumb will then rest on the top flat of the upper prong ... you don't have to hold it real tight, just light to moderate pressure ... that will mean the handle and base of the fork are pertruding from your wrapping hand ... then, take the fork you'll be working with, and gently hold it by the base of the handle in your dominent hand (usually the right hand) ... the round peg of the handle (round pegs are truly much easier to work with - if you have square pegs, same concept, they're just not as comfortable for long sessions) fits nicely into the crease of the first joint of the index finger and the second joint of the middle finger, slide the peg down until the bottom side of the vee-ish base hits the outer edge of the index finger, and then rest the under side of the thumb full length along the top of the peg, with the tip of the thumb securely, but gently, resting against the upper side of the vee-ish base.  The fork will then actually roll quite naturally just ever soooo slightly to the right.

You are now in position to "Ring" the fork ... this is gentle ringing - no clanging!! - we desire the essence of the vibration to permeate the energy field and harmonically balance the energetic AND physical bodies ... it's like eating a gourmet meal - smelling and savoring and attuning your pallete to the intimacies of the food ... I know this may all sound strange, yet to be truly effective, it is the nuance that makes the difference - can't be all that much different in athletics, me supposes !!

But I digress ... Now ... you want to ring "edges", edge to edge, not flat to flat.  So ... with a "flick of the wrist" motion, gently "ding" (no dong - ding!!) the bottom inside corner edge, about an inch down from the tip, of the righthand fork, with the top inside edge, about an inch, maybe inch & a half from the base end of the edge, of the lefthand fork.  Practice will help you get proficient !!!

You'll hear the tone and feel the vibration with a good strike ... and you'll also hear and feel a poor strike !!  You'll quickly learn to notice the difference!!  To quiet the fork ... simply touch something ... I simply press it to my body - thigh works real good !!

Whatever part of the body you're working on ... ring the fork, and then pass it over the area, usually 3-4 inches above, with the prongs flat, horizontal, so they are side by side.  When you really need to focus a vibration into an area, turn the prongs vertical, so they are one above the other.  As you play and practice, you will notice substantial differences in effectiveness and penetration of the vibrations, dependent upon how and where the forks and prongs are held.  As you pass the fork across a specific area, LISTEN to the tone.  It will be smooth and even, then suddenly it will elevate and then drop down even again ... or dip substantially and then rise to even again.  Wherever you encounter a spike, up or down, you have a blockage (energy and/or physical), a knot, an organ or a gland in distress, dis-ease of some kind, emotional or physical, that is causing an imbalance or disharmony in the body.  An infusion of LifeForce Energy will help shift it, and elevate the vibration ... re-ringing and holding the fork over the area for a period of time will also help shift the vibration ... depends on the malady as to the course of action most appropriate for the correction.  The forks will also take the Chakra energy present in the port, and "spread" it more evenly throughout the entire area of the Chakra in question ... more on that later, if you so desire !!!

With practice, patience, and perserverance ( and not necessarily in that order) ... you'll gain confidence and proficiency at using these tools!!
And they are VERY effective !!!

Have FUN ... PLAY ... PRACTICE ... keep me posted on your progress, and let me know what specific questions you may have ... I am Honored to be of assistance !!

Thank you for your friend request.

I noticed you are a practitioner of sound therapy.  I have recently acquired a set of very large tuning forks, which I assume were to be used in some sort of sound therapy, and I am trying to figure out how to explore their proper use.  Any ideas?

Oh, Absolutely !!!
They are marvelous instruments to tone the body and the Chakras!!
What's the tone of your forks ???
Each Chakra, or primary energy port of the body, has a resonate vibration to the tone of a specific fork ... like the Root Chakra (basically everything from the hips down, including the hands) tones to middle C; the second Chakra to D; third E; fourth F; fifth G; sixth A; seventh B; and then interim Chakras to interim tones ... like the Thymus (between the 4th & 5th Chakras) tones to F#.

Let me know what you have, and I'll be more than happy to help you focus in on the area of the body, and give you suggestions on how to use them for optimal utility !!!!

As an athlete, they will be VERY effective for you at releasing pain, strains, physical and energetic blockages that are inhibiting peak performance ... you will be AMAZED at their effectiveness !!!

Hope this helps !!!
Let me know !!!
