Unlike many of her mentor/motivator contemporaries, Leyla grew up in a very privileged life style. Her parents owned their own business in Hong Kong, and her father worked for one of the largest shipping companies in the world Orient Overseas Container Lines (OOCL), and retired as Chairman of the Board in the late 1980s.

Because her parents business often took them on travels, and not wanting to leave their beloved daughter at home, Leyla traveled extensively throughout the world as a young child, and learned the cultures of each region she visited and lived in. Later in life, Leyla incorporated these diverse cultures in her own lifes path with an understanding of each as if she had lived them many lifetimes before.

Leyla comes from a family with diverse religious and cultural beliefs and practices. Because of this, Leyla has a wide, and personal, knowledge of different belief systems and cultures, and incorporates these into her day-to-day Spiritual life.

When Leyla immigrated to Canada, with her family, in 1992, her challenges began. Arriving in Canada in the midst of a terrible recession, Leylas parents slowly lost most of their fortune. The stress of the situation, as well being in a new country with no social network, Leyla set out on a path of destruction and then self-discovery, and finally success over a 10-year time frame.

Married at a relatively young age, Leyla was thrust into a world of abuse and substance abuse.

At the young age of 26, Leylas first husband completed suicide, leaving Leyla a widow, homeless, and completely lost emotionally and physically.

Over the next few years, Leyla embarked on a journey of spiritual re-growth and self-love. Although during this time, Leyla openly admits to having struggled with this.

In 2002, Leyla suffered a seizure where her heart stopped and she was inturbated and was in a coma. This was a direct result of negligence from a doctor who had mis-diagnosed, and over-medicated her.

While in the coma, Leyla speaks of having had a near-death experience (the third in her life time, but by far, the most profound). When she emerged from the coma, Leyla received a diagnosis of having residual brain damage. She was told to go home, get on disability, find a good hobby, and live your life out to the best of your ability.

She was told that there was no hope of cure or being able to live a normal life ever again.

Allowing herself 20 minutes to cry over the situation, she found the resolve within herself to never allow herself to be labeled and shelved away again!

She went home and began her process of becoming whole. Leyla refers to this time in her life as being her complete rebirth.

The process of rehabilitation lasted about 1 months in which time she re-learned to walk, talk, read, write, type, and use the internet.

With each success she achieved, her confidence grew stronger and her determination more resilient.

When Leyla regained approximately 90% functionality, she met a gentleman in Arizona. In October of 2002, Leyla made a trip to Arizona to have a vacation and spend time with this individual. In December 2002, Leyla and her husband were married.

Today, Leyla guides and teaches individuals and large groups in finding success in their lives.

Leyla has a world-wide following, and has aided in helping countless thousands of individuals effect positive changes in their lives, finding success in life, over-coming self-esteem and fear issues, removing blocks of the past to realize a successful future, guided meditation and how meditation plays a critical importance in life to bring about body/mind/soul harmonic balance, as well as the Law of Attraction. Leyla has clients ranging from major celebrities to entrepreneurs to housewives.

Leyla is often a special guest on Celebrity Artist, Michael Bells radio show, as well as The Rock Report with Kat Vecchione. Leyla has just released her first guided mediation CD; as well, her famous Love and Light ~ Pass it On tag line has recently become a clothing line. Leyla is currently working on her first book, as well as various projects to inspire others, including the blue-print for her own television show and movie.

In May 2008, Leyla premiered her weekly radio show, "Manifesting the Positive", with co-host Stuart "GuruStu" Rosen.

The show gained incredible success in the first few weeks of being aired, and went "international" prior to the airing of the first show. Listener numbers have steadily increased each week.

To date, listeners are tuning in from countries such as South Africa, Mozambique, Israel, Morocco, Dubai, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Australia, all across Europe, UK, across Canada, South America, and the USA.

The line-up of guests have been diverse and each one has given a positive message of inspiration.

For Leyla, it feels that life has come full-cycle, and she is enjoying this portion of it. Incredibly humbled by her success and recognition, Leyla strives each and every day to make a difference in the world as we know it; and to help individuals who come in contact with her, become empowered and inspired.

Leyla has lived in England, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Australia, and Canada. Leyla currently resides in Scottsdale, Arizona with her husband.

My company has had an office in Hong Kong for nearly 14 years.  I love the people there and enjoy many wonder relationships in both Hong Kong and mainland China.  Your story has such depth, emotion and color that I implore you to write a book about this incredible journey. I would consider it an honor to be considered your friend.

Heaveno Leyla,
[ If someone could take the word "hell" and add an "o" for a greeting, I could do the same with heaven!!] Blessings for the invitation to add you as my friend.   Below a favorite excerpt from Daniel C. Matt's "Essential Kabbalah":

"There is one who sings the song of his[her] soul, discovering in his[her] soul everything--utter spiritual fulfillment. There is one who sings the song of his people. Emerging from the private circle of his soul--not expansive enough, not yet tranquil--he[she] strives for fierce heights, clinging to the entire community of Israel [Ireland, India, Arabia, United States, et cetera] in tender love. Together with her, he[she] sings her song, feels her anguish, delights in her hopes. He[She] conceives profound insights into her past and her future, deftly probing the inwardness of her spirit with the wisdom of love. Then there is one whose soul expands until it extends beyond the border of Israel[Germany, Japan, China, Scotland, et cetera] singing the song of humanity. In the glory of the entire human race, in the glory of the human form, his[her] spirit spreads, aspiring to the goal of human kind, envisioning its consummation. From this spring of life, he[she] draws all his[her] deepest reflections, his[her] searching, striving, and vision. Then there is one who expands even further until he[she] unites with all of existence, with all creatures, with all worlds, singing a song with them all. There is one who ascends with all these songs in unison-the song of the soul, the song of the nation, the song of humanity, the song of the cosmos-- resounding together , blending in harmony, circulating the sap of life, the sound of holy joy."

Blessings of joy, laughter, life, light, love, peace, revelation, truth, understanding and wisdom, Zarayah [aka "Spiritspark"]

Hi Leyla,  Beautiful images on your page!  A pleasure to meet you ... even though I am Canadian (I live on Vancouver Island in British Columbia) I lived in Scottsdale for some time back in the 80s.  The desert definitely has its own unique beauty ... love the picture of the catcus with snow on it!  Perhaps one day we will meet ... I'd love to come to that area again ... do you ever do workshops where you have guest teachers??  I am a medium, channeler, intuitive advisor ... I connect in a light-hearted way with much humour ... learning this sense needs to be delightful! sending love, Sage

Thank you Leyla for your friend request. I checked out your profile, you have overcome so much. You are indeed a precious soul. Here is a poem I wrote shortly after my enlightenment that I think you will relate to.

Loves Quest

I have walked with angels and stood on the shore of the sea of love

I have stood in a rainbow made of tears from above

I have stood in the moonlight in the forest of dreams

I have bathed in the lake fed by sadness streams

I have seen hearts that are broken and cast on the floor

I have seen those that are lost and know not love anymore

I have seen the joy of a mother as she holds her new child

I have seen the tears on her face as she cried as she smiled

I have seen rivers of faith and mountains of despair

I have stopped and looked back and the mountains weren’t there
