Stacy McIntosh: Stacy is schooled in Environmental Biology, Ecology and Environmental Education, and presently works with FDA issues around the approval of new prescription medicines. Her personal focus is preventive medicines, natural modalities, and improving the patient’s treatment experience. She is, therefore, a natural bridge in the integration of traditional medicine and complementary holistic medicine, emphasizing patient education and advocacy. She is intuitively aware of the ebb and flow of natural systems and feedback loops, as it impacts each of us in our personal, professional and conscious journeys.
I'm a confident, intelligent, kind, witty, well-meaning person, and just hoping to meet other people with similar traits to challenge me.
I love the feeling of a sea breeze across my face, losing myself in song, and cuddling with my kids. I believe in lifelong learning, the power of positive thinking, direct eye contact, honesty, compassion, acceptance, and that love IS what makes the world go 'round. I appreciate individuality, creativity, self-expression, simplicity, enthusiasm, sincerity, and kindness. I subscribe to the universal tenets that connect all spiritual faiths, gaia principle and ecology, meeting new people and making connections, sharing love and spreading joy. I relish my two boys, the opportunity it provides me to experience the world through their eyes, and my responsibility to contribute to their development as loving, responsible, secure adults. I have a degree in Environmental Biology, but I work in the pharma/biotech industry presenting scientific data and negotiating drug approvals with the Food & Drug Administration. I consider myself to act in the capacity of a patient advocate, but from within the industry.
It's hard for me to explain to just what an extent music brings me bliss. I play the congas, bongos and dumbek (mind you, no real training) - that is when I'm not singing, and I've just begun to enjoy the unique rewards of Open Mic Nights.
I value honesty, openness, tolerance, a good sense of humor, intelligence, and confidence.
